If students aren’t taught the language of sound and images, shouldn’t they be considered as illiterate as if they left college without being able to read or write?

In today’s world, video and sound have become a primary form of communication. With the advent of the Internet, this becomes even more important. Students no longer have the luxury of not understanding the visual and audible cues we experience on a daily basis. In this program, students will develop a skill set and way of thinking that will help set them apart in the workplace and future job markets. Truthfully, we are no longer talking about the “future” as some unknown concept… we are looking at the present day. We want students to be equipped to handle a variety of demands and in Media Arts at Eden High School, we are committed to helping achieve that goal.
